- Our Vision -

Children and young people in Tasmania have what they need to grow and thrive.

Tasmania’s Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy is shaped by the voices of children and young people, and those who care about them and their future.

Strategy

Tasmanians shared their hopes and dreams for all children and young people in our State and this feedback inspired the title of the Strategy ‘It Takes a Tasmanian Village’, along with our vision, and a set of 10 principles that will guide the way we work as we implement the Strategy.

The $100 million four-year Action Plan for the Strategy contains 65 initiatives that support the wellbeing of 0 to 25 year olds, with a particular focus on the first 1,000 days (the critical early years, from pregnancy to two years old).

The Strategy also provides a wellbeing framework for future four-year Action Plans.
